The Public Authority for Applied Education & Training (PAAET) has invited nine local grade 1 contractors to bid by 29 December for the contract to build a new College of Business Studies for Girls campus at Ardiya. Estimated to cost $75 million, the project will cover the construction of a segregated main faculty building, as well as libraries, car parks, administrative buildings, lecture halls and related facilities. A tender for the boys' college is expected soon. The UK's John Bonnington & Partnershipcarried out the masterplan for the proposed development. The local Gulf Consultis the design consultant on the project (MEED 1:5:03).
