Tenders committee approves Combined bid for water and road systems

Kuwait’s Central Tenders Committee (CTC) has approved the KD13.7m ($47m) bid for the first-phase contract to build rainwater and wastewater drain networks and roads in the Abu Futaira district in the east of Kuwait.

The local Combined Group Contracting Company submitted the low-bid on 14 September last year.

The local Green Line General Trading & Contracting Company was second with KD14.2m and the local Burhan International Construction Company submitted KD16.2m.

The Public Works Ministry is the client.

The ministry has also received bids from six local firms for the second phase of the project. They included First Kuwaiti General Trading & Contracting, Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons Company, and United Gulf Construction Company (MEED 24:11:08).
