Tenders invited for residential block in Lebanon

07 April 2008
Tenders have been invited for the construction of a residential block in Lebanon’s second largest city, Tripoli, financed by the World Bank.

The scope of the work includes the construction of a five-story building, including a basement for parking spaces, a ground floor for shops, and 36 housing units.

The closing date for the bids is 8 May.

The client is the Council for Development and Reconstruction, and the work is being financed by the World Bank’s Cultural Heritage and Urban Development Project.

The project seeks to increase local economic development and enhance the quality of life around the historic centres of a number of cities in the country, by improving conservation and the management of Lebanon's cultural heritage.
