Tenders issued for Mina Al-Arab villas

30 June 2008
Local developer RAK Properties has invited companies to bid by 16 July for a contract to build 500 villas at the Mina al-Arab development in Ras al-Khaimah.

The consultant is Australia’s Woods Bagot.

The local Darwish Engineering is working on the AED340m ($93m) infrastructure works.

The contract includes the construction of roads and bridges, wastewater treatment and collection, drainage, and the installation of cables. China Harbour Engineering Company was awarded the marine works contract in 2005 (MEED 25:5:07).

Belgium's Dredging International was recently selected to carry out the $2bn dredging and reclamation works on another real estate development in Ras al-Khaimah known as Dana island.
