Terminal tender approaches

19 March 2004
Airport authority Office National des Aeroports (ONDA) is planning to issue a tender by the end of May for the MD 620 million ($70 million) contract to build a third terminal building at Mohammed V airport, near Casablanca. The project forms part of an MD 850 million ($96 million) plan to double the airport's capacity to 7.5 million passengers a year.

A consortium led by France's Aeroports de Parisconducted the terminal's design studies and is also nearing completion on studies for the equipment installation, furnishing, baggage management and control systems at the new terminal.

ONDA is planning to launch tenders for these contracts by August.
