The Middle East to host 320 mn passengers by 2012

The Middle East and North Africa region is named the largest region for growth in international passenger, according to The International Air Transportation Association (IATA). IATA forecasted the region for 6.8 percent growth compared to a global average of 5.1 percent. Airport expansion work in the region amounts to US$ 38 billion, allowing the 10 leading airports in the Middle East to have a combined capacity of 320 million passengers by 2012.
