Three international engineering, procurement and construction contractors priced the lump-sum deal, which covers the construction of a 37,000-barrel-a-day (b/d) hydrocracker and a 42,000-b/d sulphur hydrocracker unit, and the revamping of the existing gas oil hydrotreater.

They are Spain's TR, GS Engineering & Construction and SK Engineering & Construction, both of South Korea. A third prequalified South Korean firm, Hyundai Engineering & Construction Company, is understood to have withdrawn from the bidding process (MEED 24:8:07).
