The Abu Dhabi interconnection project is being tendered in three packages. Bids are under study for packages 2 and 3. Package 2, estimated to be worth AED 120 million ($33 million), covers the supply and installation of a 35-kilometre-long, 400-kV overhead transmission line between Mussafah and Umm al-Nar. The last package is for about 21 kilometres of cabling (MEED 22:11:02).
