Tidu Maini

Position: Executive chairman
Biography: Tidu Maini is the science and technology adviser to the Qatar Foundation and was appointed executive chairman of QSTP in 2007.
Prior to joining QSTP, Maini was pro-rector of Imperial College London, with responsibility for technology transfer, strategic business alliances and alumni affairs. He has more than 30 years’ experience in managing technology companies, including holding senior positions at the US Schlumberger and GEC Marconi.
Maini is chairman of the board of trustees at Goodenough College, London, and chairman of the London 2012 Olympic Technology Board.
He has a doctorate in engineering from Imperial College, and a post-doctoral fellowship from the University of California Berkeley.
