Tunisia prequalifies groups for wind and solar projects

International developers have been prequalified to participate in tenders for a 500MW solar project and 300MW wind scheme

Tunisia’s Ministry of Industry, Energy and Small and Medium Enterprises has prequalified groups to participate in its upcoming wind and solar renewable energy projects.

The ministry has prequalified 16 groups for the planned 500MW photovoltaic (PV) solar project and 12 groups for a planned 300MW wind project.

The prequalified groups for the solar project are:

  • Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) / EDF Energies Nouvelles (France) / Mitsui & Co (Japan)
  • Acciona (Spain) / Swicorp (Saudi Arabia)
  • Canadian Solar / Delta Star Enerji ve Madencilik Sanayi (Turkey) / Sunel (Turkey)
  • CECEP Solar Energy Technology Company (China) / Phelan Energy Group (South Africa)
  • Enel Green (Italy)
  • Engie (France) / Nareva (Morocco)
  • Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (Spain)
  • Globeleq Africa Holdings (UK) / Akuo Energy (UAE) / HBG Holdings (UAE)
  • Greenyellow (France)
  • Acwa Power (Saudi Arabia)
  • Power Construction Corporation of China
  • Scatec Solar (Norway)
  • SPIC Huanghe Hydropower Development Company (China)
  • TBEA Xinjiang Sunoasis (China) / Phanes Group (UAE)

The prequalified groups for the wind project are:

The projects are part of Tunisia’s plans to install 4.7GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
