Lack of employment is a serious issue in Tunisia
Tunisia’s Vocational Training and Employment Minister says that 100,000 jobs will be created in the country in 2012.
Abdelwahab Maatar made the announcement during a ministry meeting focussing on the lack of employment in the northwest regions of the country, such as Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous, Manouba, Zaghouan, Nabeul and Bizerte.
The meeting took place ahead of Tunisia’s National Employment Conference, which is due to take place on 27 April. The ministry suggested a variety of ways to create jobs, including creating industrial areas in each governorate.
