A contract valued at about FF 180 million ($34.1 million) has been signed by France's Danto Rogeat Entreprise for the construction of an integrated meat and dairy products complex at Yozgat, east of Ankara. Client for the scheme is Yozgat municipality.
French financing of FF 159.2 million ($30.1 million), to be repaid over seven years, has yet to be finalised. However, repayment is likely to start within 30 months of signing. The export credit portion will be covered by France's export credit agency.
Completion of the complex is scheduled for 1995, on an area of about 11,500 square metres. Its annual slaughtering capacity will be about 20,000 head of cattle, and around 75,000 sheep or goats. The annual meat product capacity will be around 5,150 tonnes. The complex will also process around 38,000 tonnes of milk annually, to produce pasteurised milk, cream and cheeses. French companies will operate the complex for a limited period of time after its completion.
