Weight-reduction drug, Body Beautiful 1, has been banned by the UAE health ministry as it poses a possible risk to patients with cardiac conditions, Emirates Business has reported. Health authorities in Hong Kong issued a warning against the use of the product after it was found to contain two substances, Phenolphthalein and Sibutramine, which are not listed on the label accompanying the product, Dr Amin Husain, executive director of medical practice and licensing said. Sibutramine has also been suspended from use in the UK and EU.
