Abu Dhabi developer Aldar Properties and its local rival Sorouh Real Estate have announced that they might merge in a state-backed tie-up, Reuters has reported. According to a joint statement, any merger decision will be made in the next three months after a joint committee assesses the matter. The two firms are discussing ways to merge with the blessing of the Abu Dhabi government, the statement has added.
