UAE firm to provide pipe network for Palm Jebel Ali

The UAE’s Advanced Composites has been awarded a AED58m ($16m) contract to provide the district cooling piping network to Palm Jebel Ali.

The network will cover Crescent A of the project. Advanced Composites will provide 20 kilometres of pipes ranging in diameter from 50-800 millimetres.

The pipes will be manufactured at the firm's manufacturing facility in the Al-Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah.

Advanced Composites is a subsidiary of Emaar Industries & Investments, which is a member of Emaar Properties.

Palm Jebel Ali is the largest of the three palm-shaped archipelagos being created in Dubai. It is part of the Dubai Waterfront development that, once complete, will house up to 1.5 million people (MEED 5:6:08).
