Hospital in the Maliha area will have 220 beds

The UAE military’s General Headquarters is still evaluating bids from contractors for the contract to build its estimated AED500m ($136m) military hospital in the emirate of Sharjah.

Contractors submitted prices last year for the 220-bed, five-storey hospital building will be built in the Maliha area of Sharjah. It will have a total built-up area of about 57,000 square metres.

The consultants working on the project include Denmark’s Ramboll as the engineer and UK-based Rider Levett Bucknall as cost consultant (MEED 19:6:11).
