UAE non-oil trade reached Dhs760bn last year

According to initial statistical data by the UAE Federal Customs Authority (FCA), non-oil foreign trade in the first 10 months of 2011 HAD climbed by Dhs137.3bn to Dhs759.8bn compared with the same period in 2010, Wam has reported. The data for the period on import growth indicate a 24% rise in 2011 to Dhs493.8bn from Dhs399.2bn in 2010. Saudi Arabia maintained its first rank among GCC region's trading partners with a total value of Dhs2.3bn. Kuwait came second with Dhs1.5bn, followed by Bahrain (Dhs860 m), Oman (Dhs831m) and finally Qatar (Dhs621m).
