Governor of the UAE Central Bank, Sultan bin Nasser Al Suwaidi, has said the bank will keep interest rates low as part of its ongoing expansionary monetary policy on the grounds that global economic recovery is still fragile. 'We believe that the economic situation globally will continue to be under pressure, and, therefore, our monetary policy will continue to be expansionary and interest rates will be kept low,' Suwaidi was quoted as saying in an interview to be published by the Oxford Business Group.
