United Gulf selected for pipeline work

22 January 2008
The Central Tenders Committee has approved the KD9.7m ($34.6m) bid submitted by the local United Gulf Construction Company to install water effluent transfer pipelines between three gathering centres and the Minagish water injection plant in west Kuwait.

United Gulf was expected to win the work after submitting the lowest bid for the contract last year (MEED 19:10:07).

The lump-sum engineering, procurement and construction contract covers the construction of the transfer pipelines and the upgrade of an effluent water transfer system and storage tanks between gathering centres 17, 27 and 28.

The client is state upstream operator Kuwait Oil Company.
