USACE calls for architects, engineers

12 December 2003
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on 10 December issued a presolicitation notice for indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contracts for construction management and general architect and engineering services. The contracts will initially be for one year but there will be options to extend for four additional years.

USACE says the total potential construction programme value is estimated at $20,000 million and that it will be executed through the award of design-build contracts. It intends to make multiple contract awards under a single solicitation and each contract will have a maximum value of $300 million for the first year, rising to a maximum of $1,200 million if extended over the full four years.

Potential bidders have until 12 January to respond and a projected contract award date of 1 March has been set.
