The Versace Group has said it is '100% committed' to completing its Dhs2.3bn Palazzo Versace Dubai resort. However its plans depend on Dubai Properties putting the necessary infrastructure in place at its Culture Village location, the company said. The Palazzo Versace resort will have 217 hotel suites and 169 private residences, all furnished with Versace furniture. Due to open in late 2010 or early 2011, construction is about 60% complete, the company said. Originally, Versace planned to also build a refrigerated beach, but those plans have now been scrapped in favour of a more conventional private beach and marina.
