Facilities to transport petroleum products, fuel oil and nitrogen to Fujairah port in the UAE
Vopak Horizon Fujairah has brought onstream five oil tanker berth pipelines connecting its terminals to the Port of Fujairah on the east coast of the UAE.
The company, a joint venture of the Netherlands Royal Vopak, Dubai-based Horizon Terminals and Kuwaits Independent Petroleum Group, said the pipelines would increase the speed and efficiency of its operations.
The pipelines directly link Vopak Horizons terminal with the jetties at the port with two each carrying clean petroleum products and fuel oil and one transporting nitrogen. Each pipeline is 3 kilometres in length.
The project was executed by Vopak Horizon Fujairah, Horizons parent group Dubai-based Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) and Dubais Al-Banna Engineering.
