Wade Adams wins drainage contract in Dubai

07 May 2008
Wade Adams Contracting, a UAE-based consultant, has been awarded a AED260m ($71m) contract to build drains and sewers in a residential district of Dubai.

The two-year contract involves the installation of a sewerage and drainage network in the Al-Barsha 3 area between Sheikh Zayed road and Al-Khail road near to the Al-Quoz.

The contract also calls for the creation of a man-made lagoon close to Al-Khail road, similar to the man-made lagoon between Mall of the Emirates and Al-Barsha road. Barsha 3 is a relatively new development with many new properties. It consists of villas and is a popular development with UAE nationals.

Al-Turath Consultants and US-based Wilbur Smith & Associates are consulting on the project. The client is Dubai Municipality.
