Properties will be built in Deira and Port Rashid
Dubai-based Wasl has invited contractors to express interest in building three hotels buildings in the Deira and Port Rashid areas.
In Deira, there are plans for a seven-storey hotel in the Muraqabat area with a total built-up area of 13,000 square metres, and an eight-storey property in the Al-Riqqa area with a total built-up area of 8,600 sq m. At Port Rashid, the company is planning to build a four-storey hotel with a total built-up area of 12,500 sq m.
Wasl is managing several hotel projects in Dubai. In early 2012, it awarded the local/UK Al-Futtaim Carillion an estimated AED200m ($54m) contract to build the extension to the Meridien hotel in the the Garhoud area close to Dubai International airport.
