Kuwaiti carrier plans to offer flights to Alexandria and Iran
Kuwaiti carrier Wataniya Airways plans to open two new routes from Kuwait to Alexandria and Iran in the summer of 2010.
According to an airline statement, Wataniya has not decided which city in Iran it will fly to, or the frequency of flights to the new destinations.
Alexandria will be Wataniya’s third destination in Egypt, It already operates flights to Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh.
The airline will serve 10 destinations, following the addition of Alexandria and Iran.
In early August, the carrier revealed it had struggled in the tough market conditions and posted a loss of $20.6m in the first half (MEED 5:9:09).
