A report by statistics firm Net Applications shows that that Microsoft Windows 7's share of the overall PC market continues to rise steadily, having passed 4% by November 9. Microsoft Vista, by comparison, had reached 4% in June 2007, six months after its general release to consumers in January 2007. The software giant is hoping that widespread adoption of Windows 7, by both consumers and the enterprise, will help reverse a declining revenue trend.
