Dr Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, has said the outlook for world tourism is 'slightly brighter' than a few months ago as the worst of the economic downturn appears to be over, Reuters has reported. The organization projects a growth of 3% to 4% in international tourist arrivals in 2010. 'Asia is expected to continue showing the strongest rebound, while Europe and the Americas are likely to recover at a more moderate pace,; Rifai said, adding that growth was also expected to return to the Middle East and Africa.
