New regime in Sanaa wins praise for safe and secure transition of power
Yemen making major reforms will make both the country and the region a safer more stable place, according to a senior US official.
US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Wendy Sherman, has offered Yemen assistance in ensuring a safe and secure transition of power from the previous regime of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The Yemen News Agency reported that both the US and the UN have been impressed with the new government’s efforts to unite the Yemeni people and deter civil war.
