Dutch group to carry out shallow-water operations on Ghasha field
Netherlands-based Seabed Geosolutions has been awarded a $60m contract extension by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) for work on the Ghasha offshore gas field.
Seabed Geosolutions, a joint venture of Dutch group Fugro and Frances CGG, will carry out a new shallow-water survey at the field over the next nine months.
The contract covers phase two of the Ghasha field project, the company said. Seabed Geosolutions has recently carried out surveys at the Hail, Shuweihat and Ghasha phase one surveys.
Adnoc is at the early stages of a project to develop sour gas reservoirs at the Hail and Ghasha offshore fields.
