Mixed-use development will be built near the New York University campus

Local developer Bloom Properties has awarded the main construction contract for its Soho Square development on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island to the local Emirates Link Maltauro.

The mixed-use development is located close to the New York University Abu Dhabi campus and upcoming tourist attractions such as the Louvre Museum.

Once complete, there will be 302 residential units ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, townhouses and a penthouse. The development will also have commercial and retail facilities as well as restaurants, a swimming pool and a fitness centre.

In early May, Bloom selected a contractor for the main building work on its latest Dubai project.

The local General Construction Company (GCC) will build the Stella Maris project in Dubai Marina, which will be a 52-storey waterfront tower made up of 313 luxury residential units, and is expected to be completed in 2019.
