Abu Dhabi launches programme to tackle heart disease

The Health Authority - Abu Dhabi (Haad) is to launch a wellness programme over the course of the year in an attempt to reduce the alarming percentage of heart-related diseases across the emirate, Gulf News has reported. According to statistics, 71% of the young Emirati population have at least one cardio-vascular diseases (CVD) risk factor, Dr Cother Hajat, section head of public health programmes at Haad said.
