12 June 2008
Agility Defense & Government Services has had a $200m contract with the US army extended for a third successive year.

The public sector arm of Kuwait’s Agility Logistics will continue to provide transport services for heavy equipment to the US armed forces until 30 June next year, under the Heavy Lift VI contract.

Under the terms of the contract, Agility is obliged to perform work to a maximum value of $200m, although the US can request additional work at its discretion.

The award follows the recent win by Agility Logistics of a $2.8bn contract to supply US forces with food and other logistical support for one year (MEED 28:5:08).
