Ahmed Isa Bubshait

Biography: Ahmed Isa Bubshait is a senior representative of the Foreign Trade, Industry and Commerce Ministry and a director on the board of the General Organisation of Sea Ports.

In addition to being the undersecretary of foreign trade, Bubshait is a member of the board of the Bahrain Livestock Company, the Bahrain Convention and Exhibition Authority, the King Fahd Causeway Authority and the GCC patent office. Bubshait has a bachelor’s of science degree in geology from Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

He also has a gemology diploma from the Gem and Pearl Testing Laboratory of Great Britain and has completed a leadership management diploma (Gulf executive programme) from the University of Virginia in the US. As cargo and freight volumes increase at Bahrain’s new port so will the foreign trade coming into Bahrain itself.
