Air France halts Paris-Damascus service

06 March 2012

Air France has cancelled its Paris-Damascus flight due to the unrest and protests against president Bashar al-Assad's regime, but the airline has not said if other flights during the week will be affected, AFP has reported. "Flight AF-570 is cancelled because of the situation in Syria," said an Air France spokesman. "Air France has not yet taken a decision over the two other flights scheduled for this week. We are watching the situation in the country very closely."
