Al-Habtoor considers Cairo city project ahead of investment conference in March

Dubai-based Al-Habtoor Group has expressed its interest in developing major projects in Egypt as the country becomes investment ready.
In a statement to the media, Khalaf al-Habtoor, the firms chairman, said: It is my hope to build Al-Habtoor City in a prime location in Cairo. This will be of great benefit to the countrys economy, and will also provide thousands of jobs. Al-Habtoor added: Thousands of families in Egypt would benefit from a project like this.
Al-Habtoor, who is likely to be present at the upcoming Egypts Economic Development Conference in March, has confirmed his company is currently conducting feasibility studies for a range of investment opportunities in Egypt.
The Egypt Economic Development Conference, which is going to be held in the coastal city of Sharm el-Sheikh, is expected to attract a number of international investors as the country aims to rebuild after four years of instability.
Many Gulf countries, particularly the UAE and Saudi Arabia, have expressed interest in supporting and investing in the countrys development under the mandate of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
