The Algerian Telecoms ministry has said it is determined to buy the local unit of Egypt's Orascom Telecom (OT) before end of 2011, Arabic Alshrouk has reported. Djezzy, OT's biggest single source of revenue, has been entangled in a long-running dispute with the Algerian government over hundreds of millions of dollars in back taxes.
