Allyson Vanstone

Position: Dean, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar

Biography: Before joining Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Allyson Vanstone was dean of the school of design at Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design, Vancouver, Canada, and chair of design at Cornish College of the Arts, Washington, US.

She serves on the board of the Qatar Foundation Academic Bridge Programme for pre-university students and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in visual communication design from York University, Toronto, Canada.
