The local Almeer Technical Services Company (Atsco) has won a contract worth KD3.3m ($12.2m) to upgrade the Minagish water injection plant.
The work covers the upgrade and rehabilitation of the tank seals at the facility’s water and drainage system. The client is state upstream operator Kuwait Oil Company.
Atsco beat competition from nine other contractors to win the lump-sum engineering, procurement and construction deal (MEED 3:12:07).
The Minagish water injection plant is used to reinject waste effluent from the state’s southwest fields back into the reservoir to help maintain pressure.
