Arab companies will now be able to have internet domain names in their own language, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (Icann) has said. Icann's new Internationalised Domain Name (IDN) program allows for the introduction of internet address names formed from non-Latin based languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian. "Companies can establish their brand online in the name they're best known to their target audience," Baher Esmat, ICANN's Manager, Regional Relations, Middle East has said.
