Arabi Enertech set to win Kuwait maintenance work

06 March 2008

The local Arabi Enertech is set to win a contract to provide maintenance services for state-owned Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) after the central tenders committee approved its KD6.9m ($25m) bid.

Arabi submitted the low bid for the five-year contract in 2007. It is expected to sign the contract with PIC soon.

The work covers the electrical, mechanical and civil maintenance of all PIC facilities in Kuwait, including its polypropylene and fertiliser facilities.

PIC, a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, has a major stake in the Equate Petrochemical Company olefins complexes in the Shuaiba Industrial area.
