Arabtec awarded Silverene contract at Dubai Marina

The local Arabtec Construction has been awarded the AED638m ($174m) to build the Silverene Towers at Dubai Marina.

The contract involves the construction of two residential towers, one with 44 storeys, the other with 38. They will share a common four-storey retail podium.

The project is due to be completed by mid-2010.
UK-based RMJM is the consultant.

The client is Saudi-based Cayan Investment & Development.

Arabtec is also working on the AED700m Infinity Tower project for the same client at Dubai Marina (MEED 24:11:08).
