Arabtec secures more Dubai housing work

The local Arabtec Construction has been awarded a AED3bn ($817m) contract for the design and build work for the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.

The agreement involves the construction of 2,290 villas in Al-Barsha, Al-Warqaa and Oud al-Muteena areas of Dubai.

The order brings the total number of villas currently being built by Arabtec to 5,000, of which 3,230 are for the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.

Arabtec has already completed and delivered more than 6,300 villas in the last few years, including 4,702 villas for local real estate developer Emaar Properties at Emirates Hills, the Lakes, Meadows, Springs and Arabian Ranches, 560 villas for Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and 558 villas for Dubai Properties.
