Arabtec wins $112m Sanctuary Falls contract

26 March 2008
The local Arabtec Construction has been awarded a AED412m ($112m) contract for the construction of 96 resort-style villas at Sanctuary Falls in Dubai.

Located in the Jumeirah Golf Estates development, work is expected to begin in April and is due for completion in the first quarter 2010. Local developer Sheikh Holdings is the client.

The $200m residential development will overlook the Earth golf course, designed by Greg Norman, scheduled for completion in May 2009.

The architect is South Africa’s DSA Architects International (MEED 6:7:07).

It is the second villa contract Arabtec has secured this month after receiving a letter of acceptance from local developer Emaar Properties for the $141m design-and-build contract for 68 villas at Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club in Arabian Ranches (MEED 16:3:08).
