80-storey building will be built on Sheikh Zayed road
UAE-based developer Tasameem Real Estate has awarded the local Arabtec Construction a AED710m ($193m) contract to build an 80-storey tower in Dubai.
Located on Sheikh Zayed, the mixed-use tower will contain offices, a five-star hotel, residential apartments and a penthouse. The project also includes a 10-storey service building with a health club that will be connected to the main tower by a foot bridge on the ninth level. The built-up area is 44,000 square metres (MEED 24:11:09).
The other bidders included the local Al-Habtoor Engineering Enterprises, and Lebanon’s Arabian Construction Company (ACC).
The lead consultant on the project is UK-based Atkins.
