Dubai-based contractor will build the largest hotel in the country
Dubai-based Arabtec has won the estimated $67m contract to build Syria’s largest hotel, the Yasmeem Rotana, in Damascus.
The hotel will feature 338 rooms including three executive floors and three restaurants. It will also have a 600-seat banquet hall, meeting rooms, a spa and a fitness centre with swimming pool.
The project is in Mazzeh, on the Damascus to Beirut highway, 15 minutes from the centre of Damascus.
UK-based Mace Group is the cost and project manager. The client is Bena Properties, part of the local Cham Holding (MEED 3:5:09).
