Saudi Aramco has signed agreements with local fuel transportation companies worth SR5.6bn ($1.49bn) in a bid to increase its distribution network in the kingdom.

The 10-year fuel transportation contracts include the delivery of Aramco’s refined fuel to and from 37 distribution centres across the kingdom, including the firm’s existing distribution centres at all major Saudi airports.

Aramco says it will use 1,700 trucks to transport 150,000 barrels a day (b/d) of fuel to consumers around the kingdom.
