• Arcadis lauches new global brand identity
  • EC Harris and Hyder Consulting brands are being phased out
  • Merged business has 28,000 people worldwide

Netherlands-headquartered consultancy Arcadis has unveiled a new global brand identity and is phasing out legacy brands Hyder Consulting and EC Harris.

The move follows two years of bringing 28,000 people from different businesses together into a single entity.

“We have aligned our global and regional operating models thereby facilitating innovation and easing knowledge transfer, while enabling sharing of best practices and the use of global design,” says Neil McArthur, CEO of Arcadis. “We are already seeing this approach bear fruit through applying our global capabilities to win work on mega projects such as the Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia and the protection of New York following Hurricane Sandy.”

In the Middle East, Arcadis’ two most active brands have been cost and project management consultancy EC Harris and engineering firm Hyder Consulting.

“In the Middle East, we will see our expert teams from EC Harris and Hyder Consulting come together and go to market as one powerful, integrated Arcadis brand,” says Wael Allan, Middle East CEO at Arcadis. “This will help provide a clarity and consistency of approach to our clients who are already benefiting from our global collaboration.”

Over the past year, the Arcadis business in the Middle East has secured work on the Qatar Metro Gold Line, a transport system in Jeddah, together with other buildings, environment and water schemes.

Other global brands that are being phased out are Langdon & Seah and ARCADISLogos. Callison and RTKL, Arcadis’ architectural brands, are merging to create CallisonRTKL.
