The 7.8km road to be converted into four lanes

Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has invited firms to bid for a contract to upgrade the Al-Furousiya Street in Rayyan Municipality, located to the west of the capital Doha.

  • converting the Al-Muaither N Roundabout to three-arm signalised intersection

The project will include site clearance, storm water drainage system, treated sewage effluent (TSE), earthworks, pavement construction, paving blocks and kerbing works, traffic signs and road markings, street lighting, traffic signals, intelligent transport systems (ITS), landscaping and irrigation and utility works.

The deadline for the submission of offers is on 27 September.

The project is to be executed within 540 calendar days and includes the standard 400-day maintenance period for road projects in Qatar following the completion of the project.
