Manaseer Group to establish potash and phosphate plant
Australian engineering group WorleyParsons has won a contract to manage a project to build a greenfield potash and phosphate fertiliser plant in Jordan.
The contract was awarded by Jordanian industrial conglomerate Manaseer Group. WorleyParsons will supervise the selection and delivery of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services over a three-year period.
WorleyParsons did not disclose the size of the project.
The Manaseer Fertilizer and Chemicals subsidiary manufactures NPK (nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium) liquid and suspension fertilisers. Its existing plant has the capacity to produce 20,000 tonnes a year.
Manaseer operates in various industries including iron and steel, concrete, cement, oil, chemicals, food and machinery.
