The aviation sector in the Middle East will spend $25bn on IT infrastructure over the next five years, according to Hani Al Assad, regional vice-president, sales and relationship management, Middle East and Turkey, at SITA. He said IT infrastructure will be a major part of the $60bn that will be invested to expand the region's airports, with Al Maktoum International at Jebel Ali alone receiving $8bn.
